'Maqaar' is the story of a typical modern thief by whose very sight even the precious stone in the behold of ornaments start shivering. But strange enough, there is no whereabouts of this thief in police records. This diamond thief appears at anytime, anywhere without anyone's knowledge. His accomplish is the highest placed person of the society and that is Rana Sahib.
When Annu, a school teacher comes in contact with Jerry (the diamond thief), he decides to give up all his dirty habits. But unfortunately Anu comes to know that Jerry is a thief, she rebukes Jerry and decides not to meet him again in her life time. Jerry gets disheartened. He drinks heavily and in drunken state breaks the barrier of police check post and police jeeps follow him. In this steeple chase Jerry loses control of his jeep and topples down in a Khadd down the hill. The jeep catches fire and there remains nothing except a suit case, indicating that the victim was none else but the famous diamond thief.
Raj receives a telegram from Prashant and he receives home his childhood friend from the airport. The man sitting in the wheel chair in a pleasant posture resembles Jerry and Anu looks startlingly at him. Inspite of Raj's convincing assurances that Prashant had lost his legs in an accident two years ago, Anu does not seem to believe him. She tries to find out facts from Prashant in many ways. Kavita opens out the facts to Raj that Prashant resembles the famous diamond thief as Anu had revealed this to Prashant. Raj also starts doubting his friend and seeks police involvement in the presence of his mother, fiancee Kavita and Anu.
Are Prashant and Jerry, the names of the same person?
Does Anu get her lover?
