Cinemaazi remembers Ramlal Choudhury on his death anniversary

Ramlal Choudhury composed two wonderful soundtracks - Sehra (1963) and Geet Gaya Pattharon Ne (1965), but success eluded him in the film industry. Starting off as an assistant to Ram Ganguly he was often called upon to play the flute and shehnai in songs.
He composed for films like Husn Banu (1956), Nakaab Posh (1956), and Naaglok (1957). But Sehra proved to his breakthrough, followed by some memorable songs in Geet Gaya Pattharon Ne. Despite this, his career never took off and today he remains a largely forgotten name.
