Cinemaazi remembers actress Sumita Sanyal, who featured in Bengali and Hindi films, on the occasion of her death anniversary. She was born Manjula Sanyal in 1945, and went on to make her debut in Bengali films with Bibhuti Laha’s Khokababur Pratyabartan (1960). She acted in more than 40 films in Bengali language cinema, including Sagina Mahato (1970) opposite Dilip Kumar, and in Tarun Majumdar’s suspense thriller Kuheli (1971).
