Cinemaazi remembers C S Dubey on his death anniversary

A veteran of over 150 films, C S Dubey was a prominent character actor of Hindi cinema. Born on 4 September, 1924, Dubey had been involved in the Quit India Movement at a young age. He started his film journey working as an office boy for Amiya Chakravarty. He became a production manager and assistant director, before making his acting debut withPatita (1953). He went on to work as an actor till the 90s, notching a significant body of work. But the role that made him famous was in Zinda Dil(1975) in which his one-liner Dhakkan khol ke became very popular. He was also a popular radio personality and used his one-liner to add a dose of hilarity to his radio segments. He passed away on this day in 1993. Cinemaazi remembers him on his death anniversary.
