Cinemaazi remembers Jugal Kishore on his death anniversary

Cinemaazi remembers director Jugal Kishore on the occasion of his death anniversary; he had passed away on June 21, 1979 in Bombay. He was known for films such as Anokha (1975), Fareb (1968) and Khoj (1971). Also a producer, actor and music director, he won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Punjabi, for Jagga in 1965. Born in Himachal Pradesh, he lost his father at an early age, and moved to Bombay in search of work. He started his career in the 50s with films such as Ghulam Begum Badshah (1956) and 10 O'clock (1958). He went on to direct several films such as Guddi (1961), Main Hoon Jadugar (1965), Fareb (1968), Deedar (1970), Khoj (1971), Apradhi (1974), and Dada (1979), which achieved a silver jubilee. He also produced films such as Dada, Munimji (1972) and Nateeja (1969).
