Cinemaazi remembers Vishnupant Govind Damle on his death anniversary

Sant Tukaram (1936) was a monumental achievement of filmmaking from Prabhat Studios. The two people helming that project were Vishnupant Damle and Sheikh Fattelal. Both were veterans, having started as collaborators of Baburao Painter, before leaving with V Shantaram to co-found Prabhat. Damle was also a sound recordist, but over his long career had developed extensive knowledge of almost every aspect of filmmaking. Vishnupant Damle passed away on 5 July, 1945.
