Cinemaazi wishes the unsung music maestro of Hindi cinema Buji on his birthday (born on 19 July 1941). Born as Burjor Lord, he belongs to a renowned Parsi family known for its musical prowess. His father was part of the film music circle by the time Buji joined the industry. He reigned in the music industry from 1958 to 1988. Over a three-decade career, the dexterous Lord played the drums and other percussion instruments in more than 15,000 Hindi film songs and soundtracks. he has contributed to some of the most popular Hindi film songs of all time such as Dum Maro Dum, Jaane Jaan, Chura Liya, Mehbooba Mehbooba amongst countless others. Buji quit the music industry at the peak of his career in 1988.
