Sunny Chopra (Vivek Oberoi) is a lovable brat of a young man who likes to wear many hats. He's the popular agony uncle Gyan Guru writing a popular column in a newspaper, he's a budding screenplay writer, he's Jenny's (Ayesha Takia) fiancée and he's also a terrible prankster. One of his favorite pranks is convincing the pizza delivery person that they are late and hence not paying for the pizza. Because whatever he has achieved in life is due to his own hard work, Sunny feels that everyone around, including his own father - loves him because what he has achieved and not because of what he is. His fiancée jenny is simple whereas sunny is complex. She respects traditions and favours family bonding and has invited sunny and his father for dinner with her family where she hopes to announce their wedding plans. Film star Maya (Mahima Choudhury) is the stuff of young men's fantasies and Sunny cannot believe his luck when their paths cross. He feels even luckier when she responds to his flirting. Michael Burnett (Boman Irani) is a simple, happily married man. Because he isn't too bright, he has never managed to keep a job for more than two days. He has finally got a temporary job i n a pizza house and his first task is to deliver a pizza to Sunny Chopra's house. And so one fateful Diwali, Michael Burnett meets Sunny Chopra. This casual encounter triggers off a chain of events that will turn Sunny's life upside down. Sunny's fundas on life and love will change forever.
