Sherdil (1965)

"A FRIEND IN NEED IS A F RIENDINDEED" Salim and Jabar are not only friends but the two escaped prisoners. They enter the city of Bagdad and get involved in two different love affairs. Salim loves the most beautiful princess, Naseem Banu and Jabar loves the court dancer, Mumtaz. The destiny puts them in two opposite sectors. For the love of the princess, Salim competes with the strongest men of the world, to become her Bodyguard. For the love of Mumtaz, Jabar becomes a bandit. Even after becoming the bodyguard of the princess, the difficulties for Salim do not diminish. The jealous Vazir make efforts to kill Salim, but in vain. To make the counter attack Salim revolts in the disguise of SHERDIL. Jabar helps him, always in the eleventh hour.

The notorious Vazir even on knowing, could not prove Salim as Sherdil. The Vazir makeshis last effort to kill Salim. But the saviour helps Salim and instead the King is bitten by the venomous snake designed for Salim. Now to restore the life of the King,  Salim has to go to the dangerous land of Kohaatish, to fetch the needed medicine within fifteen days. Salim seeks the help of Jabar, but under the influence of a misunderstanding Jabar not only refuses to help, but follows Salim on the journey and tries to kill him. In spite of all this Salim overcomes all the danger sand procures the medicine. But when he returns to Bagdad; the destiny has given the last blow. The king in a coma state is hidden somewhere in a cell by the Vazir and Salim is arrested with the princess.

Will Salim be able to save the king? Will the love1s meet again? Will the misunderstanding between Salim and Jabar be removed?
