HE WAS THE NICE GUY IN COLLEGE TILL THEY MADE HIM GRADUATE IN INHUMANITIES:

It’s an ordinary college - But what happened in the Campus is not always in the Syllabus - classes are disrupted, lectures pelted, girls teased and boys tormented. Such extracurricular activities form the total curriculum of JD short for Jagadesh duly and his cohorts, the kind of students who haunt every principal's night mates -JD's obnoxious behaviour goes unchallenged as those who raise their voice find retributir swift and ruthless. For JD's power flows from his association with his dreaded Bhavani, a small-time mafioso who starts life as a bus stand coolie and moves up in life nonchalantly carrying the burden of numerous murders on his head, under the patronage of a wily politician, Bhavani terrorises the city with impunity.

Into this menacing world enters Shiva, a quiet, unassuming student from outside who joins the college in mid-semester. The exuberant Malli and Asha draw out the introvert Shiva and take him into their fold College is a song till JD treads on Shiva's toes one time too many - Shiva's patience snaps - He pulls out his bicycle chain, gives JD what he had been begging for all along and sets in motion a chain of events that inevitably lead from one bloody confrontation to another.

By asking his friend to contest the students union elections against JD, Shiva flings the gauntlet at Bhavani. From now on its open war between Bhavani and Shiva - In the ensuing battles Shiva's Malli and Chinna are brutally hacked to death - Instead of liquidating Bhavani to quench his thirst for vengeance, Shiva vows to hack away at the very power base that breeds such monsters –

Steadily he removes Bhavani's support one by one - finally struggling for oxygen Bhavani strangles ' own mentor in a fit if rage at being refused help - Poetic justice prevails but not before extracting its pound of flesh.
