Ajamil and Vishakhdatta were the disciples of the same guru when the Guruji’s daughter Shradha (faith) fell in love with ajamil and Guruji agreed to their marriage. Vishakhdatta got jealous and angry. On the day of ajamil’s marriage vishakhdatta introduced him to a prostitute mariachi who spread her net of lust around him successfully.

The marriage could not take place. Shraddha’s position became worse, and while ajamil was completely ensnared by the chorus of marichi, shradha, devoted herself to the service of her would be father-in-law and mother-in-law inspite of the scandals and cheap gibes of other people.

As days passed ajamil became pauper and to satisfy his lust and marchi’s desire he did not mind even robbing his own parents. Thus for fourteen years he led a life of sin and shame while shradha remained loyal to her love and suffered During this period ajamil became a father of three sons marich, nisshesh and Narayan. along with his sons he harassed pilgrims and travellers and day by day his sins knew no bounds, no limit.

Vishakhdatta. Who was responsible for all this saw shraddha starving and suffering, He realized his mistake and while shradha had still faith in her ultimate victory. Vishakhdatta vowed to bring ajamil back.

And ajamil, he fell ill. His eldest son inflicted injury on him. His condition became critical and he faced death naturally he called all his sons by their names one after another. Marich, nisshesh, Narayan. He harped in the last name and as he recited it again and again, his heart became purified, his soul found new light, and he found redemption for his sins.
