When Mumtaz arrived in the city of Mumbai in 1985, little did she know that her life is going to change so drastically. She had lost her parents and house and everything else in the communal riots in Meerut... she thought that what else could she loose! But fate had a lot in store for her.

This film is about the life and fate...aspirations and disappointments...happiness and struggle of Mumtaz.

Mumtaz had nothing to loose and yet she kept on loosing.

Her troubles continued when her uncle took her to work in a beer bar, the central location of the film. With wine and money flowing all around, one would have thought that only the customers lost...but nobody knew Mumtaz's loss.

She went through an entire gamut of emotions, which is enough to devastate anyone. She was thrown into the dancing world of beer bars, she was raped and still had to live throughout the trauma with the same person who was responsible for this.

She had her moments good times...or she thought, when she married to someone who loved her,, Pothya an underworld henchman who went on to become a terror. She also gave birth to two lovely children, a boy and a girl and aspired for them to become nothing like their father or mother.

But that is all of the good times that fate had in store for her. Pothya was killed by police in an encounter at the behest of his own gang members. The same police who posed as the best friends of Pothya when he was alive, ridiculed her.

But she never gave up.

Her only aim in life was the upbringing of the children. But fate had other things planned out for her.
