Honest and hardworking Dinanath — a small village school teacher — had taken all the phases of life in stride with his loving wife Rama standing by him. They had two sons and a daughter. Elder son Nayan is an ordinary clerk living with his understanding wife Nisha in a Bombay Chawl. Younger son Shekhar was involved in a smuggling racket enjoying a comfortable life in Delhi. Their daughter Charu was a young widow of a rich family living in Calcutta. Dinanath and Rama had sacrificed their entire life and earnings in educating and settling of their children.

At the end of 40 years of selfless service, Dinanath was asked to retire. They had nothing, even the house was to be evacuated. They were nourishing a rosy dream of spending the last days of their life with their sons. Poor innocent couple! Little did they know that one son has no room or financial facility to accommodate them while others had no room for them in his heart.

Then where did they get their shelter or "VISAAMO"? How did they pass their old age of retirement? Could Shekhar remain successful in fooling the law? For these answers see "VISAAMO"
