Kumar (Shatrughan Sinha) is the king of gambling world but hates people who are traitors. He gets his friend Naresh killed for betraying his country. On the other hand for the sake of his son's happiness he suffers a loss of millions of rupees.

Whatever Ravi wanted in his life he gets. He calls himself the prince of the college he studies. Every girl in his college is crazy about him. But Komal (Twinkle) is oblivious and just does not bother about him and that makes Ravi's heart crazy about her. On the other hand Komal starts liking Ravi's look alike (Saif Ali Khan) and becomes crazy about him. Rich Ravi and poor Bharat who are look alike get into a difficult dilemma about Komal's love and on one given day Ravi is murdered. Poor Bharat is arrested by the police for this crime.

He is charged that he has taken advantage of his look alike image and wants to impersonate Ravi so that he could lay his hands on Kumar's wealth by becoming his heir apparent. Komal starts hating him. Kumar wants to kill the killer of his son with his own hands. Ambani (Shakti Kapoor) wants to get him under his influence.
