Kavita is daughter of a Police Commissioner. He wants to marry her with a Police Officer who happens to be son of his friend but Kavita is not ready to marry. She hates the Police Officer. Her father is adamant. Kavita leaves his house.

She drops at a foothill railway station where she meets a young boy Ajai. Police is in search of Kavita. Pratap Singh, uncle of Ajai with his gang, is after Ajai to obtain will written by his deceased elder brother.

Kavita and Ajai came to an agreement that Ajai will save Kavita from Police and Kavita will save him from the clutches of Pratap Singh.

They reach a hillside village and find that village boy Nandu and Sanjhi love each other but mother of Sanjhi wants to marry her daughter with another man. Nandu gives shelter to Kavita and Ajai. Kavita and Ajai help Nandu and Sanjhi in their love affair. In the mean time, Kavita and Ajai start loving each other.

There is the terror of a dacoit in village Ajai, after great efforts, arrests the dacoit and put him up before Police Commissioner. Inspector Mathur who was deputed by Police Commissioner for search of his daughter brings Kavita back to her father s house.

Kavita sees Ajai in Police uniform. She says to her father that he is the boy whom she loves very much. Her father says to Kavita that he is the same boy whom he had selected for her marriage.
