To help her overcome this problem her parents get her engaged to Arpit Oberoi (Priyanshu Chatterjee) a well known Ad-Filmmaker, who is later commissioned for an international Ad Film project and leaves for the U.S. Meanwhile Anu meets Aman (John Abraham) who is member of an anti-terrorist organization. Enamored by Aman's purpose in life Anu falls in love with him. When it is time for marriage with Arpit she refuses to marry him and cuts her wrists in protests.
