GENTLEMAN is the story of twin brothers who were separated immediately after the birth. They were named as Hari and Om.

He becomes an electrician and lives with his mother Durga in a chawl. Hari observes civic sense and respects human values. He puts bulb on the electric pole in chawl and replaces water tap which was never put by civil authorities on to the water connection. Devi a young and naughty girl, who falls in love with Hari. Both enjoy their youth with songs and dances.

The story takes turn when the other brother Om steps in the film. He is associated to an underworld gang being headed by king Ramsay and his younger brother Shakti. Om's father is in hospital since Om was a child. The need of huge money for the treatment pushed Om to the underworld.

Om is love with a beautiful and sexy girl Reeta. Reeta also loves Om immensely. Reeta's beauty and sex entices Shakti and Shakti attempts all means to get Reeta. One night Om is returning in his car. He is attacked by the rivals. Police arrives. Inspector holds Om and policemen run after the attackers. Shakti finding this opportunity shoots the Inspector who dies on the spot. Om is caught red handed for the murder of Inspector.

Reeta comes to know that both Ramsay and Shakti want Om to be punished by law. She being clever and intelligent entangles Shakti by expressing her love for him. Shakti believes Reeta. Reeta takes advantage of this situation of Shakti being blind in love. She locks up Shakti in a cell. Now she goes to Ramsay to bargain. Her game proves right. Ramsay agrees to get Om out of jail for his younger brother Shakti.

Now Ramsay plays his mastermind game. He has already seen Hari in an electric store. Ramsay manages to implicate Hari in his plan. He puts Hari in the jail and gets Om out. No one except Ramsay knows this replacement of twin brothers.

Innocent Hari shouts in jail but no one listens to him. They believe Hari as Om. Gallows are waiting, time factor is squeezing fast.... further see on the screen.
