Honest and straightforward Satyanarayan, who is a partner in a big Mill, is cheated and ruined by the other partner Dowlathram. The shock kills Satyanarayan and his daughter Chhaya is left an orphan. Her college-mate Shyam, who had been feigning to be loving her, also deserts her. Helpless Chhaya marries Prakash, a good-hearted worker. They lead a happy and contented life and in course of time they beget three children.

Against the unjust acts of Dowlathram and Shyam, the Manager of his mill, Prakash and other workers go on hunger-strike.

Finding Prakash a thorn in their path, Dowlathram and Shyam decide to do away with him.

What happened to their plot?

What was the fate of Chhaya and her children?
