"luck is stronger than efforts". This had always been a point of dispute amongst persons of different school of thoughts. But luck did paly a very strong part in the lives of Shanker & Raja; - Two great friends of simple thoughts. Shankeer & Raja both fall in love with two girls named Champa & Rani respectively. Their romance was to culminate in marriage, when Jagu, brother of Rani is released from jail and upsets their apple cart. He himself falls for Champa and does not allow Rani, his sister, to see Raja. He hits Shanker unaware and throws him in a river.

Shanker narrowly escapes death and lands at a different place but has lost is memory. He does not recognize Champa, Raja and Rani who go to meet him and turns them out of his house. Raja is also arrested on the charge of gambling.

All the four lovers are separated from each other by the cruel hand of destiny.

Whether Shanker regains his memory? Whether Raja gets Rani? Whether Jaggu is punished for his sins? All this can be solved if luck deals a stroke in their favour.
