Prithviraj (Raaj Kumar) leads an aristocratic but lonely life. Pomp and glamour in his life-style, for which he can forsake even his life. His equivalent is Parshuram (Shatrughan Sinha) but his kingdom is based on crime. Unlike Prithviraj, he is lucky enough to have a small sister (Mamta Kulkarni), she is the center of his life but how long?

Balwant (Mukesh Khanna) is vying to take revenge for one of his sons' death caused by Parshuram. One day Balwant kidnaps her, but instead of killing her, he leaves her at Prithviraj's door. Parshuram loses interest in his business and hands the charge to Daga (Prem Chopra) and adopts his son Aditya (Gulshan Grover).

The girl grows into a young stubborn maiden who has a Cheetah as a pet. Like Prithviraj, she has learned not to lose, but she has a problem in the college with her class-mate Arjun (Jay Mehta), who is another son of Balwant.

Aditya who also studies in the same college tries to win her love, but to his dismay, Tej and Arjun fall in love. Aditya tries to rape her but Arjun saves her.

Balwant and Parshuram, in turn, ask for Tej's hand in marriage for their respective sons but both the proposals are unacceptable for Prithviraj. Arjun tells Prithviraj about his love for Tej but he is unmoved by Arjun's plead. Tej wants to run away and marry Arjun.

Arjun challenges Prithviraj and says that he will come with Baraat on full moon day and take away Tej.

To welcome the baraat Prithviraj has arranged the fireworks, but not the traditional ones, it's dynamite all around...

Look out for the blasts... see it for yourself on the silver screen.
