Two Sisters - Sita and Savitri. Savitri sings hymns in temples and is the bread-earner of the family. Sita is learning typing and shorthand so that she can add her mite to the family Kitty after graduation.
Sita is madly in love with her typing - teacher. Both of them are dreamers. Happiness seems round the corner. But, Rakesh, a spoilt brat, appears on the scene like a monster. He fantasises about Sita and conspires to get the typing teacher murdered.
The hired killer, Bijli, is psychic character. He becomes obsessed by Sita's charms and starts persuing her like a maniac. The Sisters have to leave the town under duress.
But, destiny has other designs for the destitute sisters. By a quirk of fate, Sita marries Barrister Bajpai, a middle aged widower, in order to have shelter for herself and her sister, Bajpai happens to be rich father of Rakesh.
Rakesh is crushed at this new reality. The Woman he tried to defile is now his mother.
Sita's only mission in life now is to reform her step-son Rakesh, who treats women as mere sex objects.
How she accomplish her mission, is the rest of the story of "AURAT AURAT AURAT".
