Barsaat Ki Ek Raat is a story depicting a tussle between the good and the evil, showing no matter how formidable the latter might be, it ultimately gets vanquished by the former.
In a small town amidst the breathtaking Himalayas, lives Abhijeet, a young and intelligent man. Here Abhijeet encounters Rajni, the winsome daughter of a tea estate manager, when he saves her from a mishap which could have been fatal. Rajni is a beautiful woman and Abhijeet finds it incredible that her exquisite eyes are deprived of vision. This strikes a responsive chord in him, making him want to protect her.
In the same town lives Kaliram, an epitome of a demon. One night when Rajni is alone, Kali breaks into her house with an intention to satiate his lust for her. But Abhijeet comes to her rescue and gets Kali arrested. To save Rajni from public derision after Kali's assault, her father decides to leave this place for good. At this juncture Abhijeet, who subconsciously loved Rajni, avows his love to her and promises to marry her and give her the respect she deserves.
Marriage is pure bliss for Rajni and a few years pass before she finds that their love is soon to blossom into an offspring of their own. It's a life's dream coming true. But alas! One night Abhijeet comes home to find their dreams shattered. Some beast has molested his wife and killed his child in her. Who is he? Abhijeet gets obsessed by this question and swears vengeance for it.
But does he succeed?
Does the good vanquish the evil?
Of course it does. But how?
