DAHLEEZ (Threshold) of a home is as sacred as that of a country and it has to be protected with all the love and strength at our disposal.

The story of 'Dahleez' is told by three characters. Shekhar and Mrig Naini met at an Inter University Youth Festival and fell in love with each other. They parted with the promise of meeting at Bombay at a particular place and at a particular time. unfortunately for Shekhar during a Terrorist shoot out his mother got hurt and Shekhar could not keep the appointment with Naini who was asked to carry the message of Shekhar expressing his inability to meet on that particular day and asking for the postponement of the rendezvous at the same place and time on the following day, did not deliver the note to Naini. On the contrary he tried to poison her ears against Shekhar - because Sukhdev himself had and eye on Naini.

Shekhar could not understand the reason of Naini's absence next day. He kept waiting the whole day but still no Naini. He tried to look for her but no avail.

As luck would have it, on the slopes of Kashmir snows two persons collided while ski-ing. They were Shekhar and Naini. When Naini learnt about the actual reason behind the whole incident she felt miserable and it appeared that the romance might start all over again when Naini suddenly disappeared. The next we see her in Bombay and we discover the reason for her sudden disappearance. She was married to an army officer, Colonel Rahul Saxena.

Fates again bring the old lovers together during a surprise duet in a T.V. programme. From here starts the inner conflict of Naini. She could not resist her old love nor could she have enough courage to tell Shekhar about her marriage. A sense of guilt kept nagging her and also kept attracting her to the company of Shekhar who has now been posted at Bombay as Flight Lieutenant.

The meetings become frequent when Rahul is appointed incharge of training a group of army commandos to fight terrorism which has got the country in its vicious grip which kept him away from his home.

An unexpected visit to the house made Rahul suspicious which was confirmed when he saw her going with somebody. This led to a silent conflict between the husband and the wife.

On the other side Rahul decided to go to the death Mission to eliminate the training camp of the terrorists on our border. He did not know that his wife has decided not to spoil the sanctity of her Dahleez and wrote to Shakhar that she would never meet him again - little knowing that Shekhar would pilot the plane which is carrying her husband to the dangerous mission. What happens thereafter is worth waiting for.
