Children are like blossoms, but not so with RAJU. He was a thorn in SHOBHA'S side. He seemed to have nothing else to do but play pranks and tell lies. His neighbours were fed up with him, so much so that one find day RAJU sent RAMESH to MEENA'S house under false pretences, and the fact that they were in love nearly saw the light of day.

SHOBHA tried by beating him and making him understand the wrongs he was doing, but to no avail. He was still the same. The last straw came when RAJU summoned the Fire Brigade with a false alarm. SHOBHA thrashed him unmercifully, and finally broke down in tears herself.

Love for his mother and the sorrow he was causing her made RAJU relent, and he swore by her that he would never utter another lie. But as luck would have it, when RAJU told people that RAMESH has not murdered MANOHAR, nobody believed him.

Was he speaking the Truth? Or was he telling lies as usual?
