On his way to Srinagar from Delhi Lt. Sunil met a rather charming young girl Sheetal. The journey proved to be eventful and memorable for the young officer who had fallen head over heels in love with Sheetal. Sheetal also liked the young officer but in every meeting she requested Sunil not to go deep into her life. But Sunil who was completely obsessed with the charms of young Sheetal considered her as his only love.

The events took an unexpected turn and love of Sunil and his dreams of owning Sheetal as his life partner were all shattered! Sheetal’s fiancé Major Ajay was transferred and from Assam he reached Srinagar.

Sheetal, in great embarrassment told Sunil that she was already engaged to Major Ajay and thus heart broken and depressed Sunil tried to drown his sorrows in smoking and drinking. But the mist of intoxication could not swallow the mountain of sorrows. And upon all this Sunil was shocked when he learnt that Major Ajay was not only his rival in love but also his Company Commander and Senior Officer.

Sheetal was in great turmoil standing on the cross roads of love and rituals-on one side was her fiancé and on the other her lover. Finally the worldly rituals were defeated and Sheetal decided to marry Sunil and as she was proceeding to the temple of Shiv Shanker to give herself to Sunil she met with an accident. At the same time the country got the severest jolt when the enemy aircraft raided our airports and committed an unprovoked aggression. Within moments the complexion of normal life was changed and the country was in the grip of war. Major Ajay and Lt. Sunil were ordered along with their regiment to proceed from the front. The scene now shifted to the battlefield and the love story engulfed in the flames of battle attained unprecedented heights of devotion and sacrifice. In the midst of spellbinding war scenes and where the battle raged at its height Sunil was a loner and always troubled with the thought that Major Ajay stood between him and Sheetal. Who won the war? Who succeeded in love? All this is unfolded in a gripping and heart-rending climax.
