It is a dark night, the smugglers are active but so are the police. At the right time the police swoop down on the smugglers and they run helter skelter. The police succeed in nabbing one man, but as usual all the cross examination, all the questioning leads to one name ‘DHARAMDAS’. The police are baffled. Who is this DHARAMDAS? Who will reveal the identity of this crook?

Ram is an Insurance Agent, the gentle docile man whose father Ram Chandanjee fights for injustice, and the down trodden. He has a sister and a blind mother. His father is going to stand for the Municipal election but Dharamdas’s men do not want him to be elected. Being an honest man, if he gets elected he would spoil all their plans. But destiny plays her own hand and Ram Chandrajee gets elected and becomes Mayor. One of the henchmen who knows Ram, plays a dirty tirck on Ram Chanrajee and he has to resign as the Mayor of the Municipal Council. The world accused him of dishonesty and the insult is too much for him and he commits suicide. The simple easy going son turns a crook, and decides to take his own action against the villains. He becomes a Diamond smuggler and pretends to fall in love with the sister and mistress of Dharamdas.

He gets to know Seth Dharamdas intimately, but before he can take any crucial step, a henchman of Dharamdas recognizes his true identity. His sister gets killed and when accused by his friend Laxman as to why he was acting “BESHARAM”. Ram explains that he was actually working for the police because his father had not hung himself, but was murdered. But Dharamdas now knows his real identity. Will Ram be successful in unmasking Dharamdas? Will Dharamdas succeed in liquidating Ram? Will good succeed over evil? Will truth succeed over dishonesty?
