Meenabhai (Rekha) a dancer on the kotha is entertaining her clients when suddenly a haggard looking man appears. A man from her past Satpal Verma... Even as he dies he whispers something in her ears.

Shanker a poor boy, studying his last year in college, captain of his college basketball team, a champion of the poor loved by one and all except Sunita and Madhu who are daughters of a rich man, Shanker realises that his degrees are of no use without money. To meet the necessities of life, with the help of his friend Chote Khan he becomes an auto riksha driver.

Once again to help his friends he lands into trouble and is put behind bars. Unexpectedly he is bailed out, the person is non other than Meena. She offer him a job and a lot of money to work for him. Having no alterntive he accepts. This job takes him into the heart of the lions' den, to Bhanu Pratap. Under the constant threat to his own life, he passes valuable information to Meena. Bhanu Pratap is none other than the father of Sunita and Madhu, and Shanker finds that now not one, but both girls are in love with him.

On the other hand he discover that Meena is the one who was responsible of the death and destruction of his family and she is spinning of 'Jaal' that will entrap all the lives in one stroke.
